London Met Graduation Ceremonies 2008

This December over 8,000 students graduated from London Metropolitan University in a series of eight ceremonies held at the Barbican Centre, London.
Staff, family and friends attended the graduation ceremonies to celebrate the culmination of the students’ hard work. Festive mulled wine and mice pies were served after the ceremonies to add to the occasion.
Brian Roper, Vice-Chancellor commended students for their dedication to learning. He wished them well on their exciting journey from higher education to their future careers.
Graduating alongside the students were a wide range of public figures from the world of business, sport, the arts, politics and public administration who all received honorary degrees this year for their outstanding sucesses. These included Lord Bilimoria CBE, founder of Cobra Beer; Camilla Batmanghelidjh, founder of Kids Company; comedian Vic Reeves and renowned artists, Gilbert and George.
Overall the ceremonies were a great success and all those invited had a memorable and enjoyable day.
