London Metropolitan University students reflect the dynamic and cosmopolitan character of the capital. Their diverse, social and ethnic backgrounds stimulate an entrepreneurial spirit.
To provide the practical knowledge and skills required to convert this spirit into commercially viable ideas or to business start-ups, TLEO runs a freestanding student enterprise programme, open to all students from all subjects. It aims to satisfy social enterprise as well as private sector business ambitions. Local entrepreneurs offer mentoring and coaching to promising student businesses. A high point of the programme is the Business Idea Competition, which concludes with a Dragons’ Den style finale, with sponsored prizes awarded to the winners.
