Bio

Professor Bartlett is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is a registered psychometric practitioner and holds a PhD in the area of stress. He is an expert in the field of managing change and innovation which he teaches at the University. He has designed and delivered award-winning organisational development programmes in the area of diversity (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals Diversity Awards, 2003). He is a member of the Occupational and Business Psychology Group at the University where he delivers a range of short courses on well-being, stress, work-life balance and emotional intelligence. He is also a reviewer for a number of top research journals in the field such as Work & Stress and he sits on the editorial review board for the Journal of Managerial Psychology.

Experience

Professor Bartlett engages in a mixture of research, consultancy and teaching at the University. His research in the area of innovation has been published in a number or research journals and he has also published in the field of ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. In his consultancy work, he uses psychological assessments and a range of other tools and interventions in working with individuals and organisations across the private and public sectors to apply psychological knowledge to the management of organisations and people. He has delivered a range of short courses and interventions around stress and well-being at work including stress assessment, stress management training and work-life balance workshops. He has also delivered creativity workshops for managers and has a particular interest in diversity. He has engaged in a wide variety of consultancy activities for over a decade including change management initiatives, team-building exercises, employee opinion surveys, leadership development programmes and diversity and cross-cultural management.

B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology, M.Sc. Occupational Psychology, Ph.D Psychology, CMI Cert. Management, Psychometric Assessor, PRINCE2 Practitioner.
